•Government is a Porvisional Parlimentary Republic •Mohammed al-Magariaf is the President of General National Congress, which has 200 seats •The Prime Minister of Libya is Ali Zeidan •Offically called the State of Libya •In 2012 they had their first Parlimentary Election in almost forty years •Sharia Law is implimented on Libyan courts •They currently do not have a consitution •Has been divided into 22 administrative divisions of various size since 2007 |

•Native population of Libya is primarily Arab or a mixture of Arab-Berber ethnicities •In the west of the country, there are some Tuareg nomads •Life Expectancy is 77.83 years •78% of the population lives in an urban environment •Foreign population is estimated at 3%, mostly migrant workers in the oil industry |
